At the Eurobridge conference 2026, Rade Hajdin presented “BIM in Infrastructure Maintenance” as part of the session “Infrastructure Maintenance Models.”
The session focused on original maintenance approaches, including infrastructure inventory methods, inspection techniques, prioritization of interventions, and strategies for routine maintenance and strengthening.
The presentation highlighted how Building Information Modelling (BIM) can extend beyond design and construction to improve condition assessments and enable smarter, more sustainable maintenance of existing infrastructure.
With much of Europe’s infrastructure now over 50 years old, increasing traffic demands and climate impacts make effective maintenance more critical than ever.
